Recs for TMJ Help

I am having a bad TMJ flare up and don't have the ability to go off island to get help. Usually this happens every couple of months and then the pain goes away after a few days, but I am in a particularly bad episode. Has anyone here gotten help for this on island and has a recommendation for who to see? Unsure if I should try to get into a PT, get acupuncture somewhere, or go to a dentist. I went to one dentist here during a bad flare a couple years ago and he wanted to shave my teeth which I was not comfortable with.
