Finding Dory / Toy Story 5 same problem

It's possible I'm just a grumpy adult who overthinks things, but I watched Finding Dory for the first time this week (I was a kid for Finding Nemo and then an adult by the time Dory came out, and kind of Over Pixar) and the same thing bothered me that bothered me when I went to see Toy Story 5 a few weeks ago.

Specifically, it felt like the human world was too easily navigable for the non-human characters. In TS5 they're going back and forth across town like it's nothing, and in FD they're quite brazenly moving through big crowds of people. It kind of felt like there weren't any real obstacles for them to overcome, whereas in Toy Story 1 a big part of the movie is the challenge of getting from one house to the one right next to it.

I'm willing to be told I am seeing with the cynical eyes of an adult rather than the open-hearted wonder of a child but I am curious if anyone else was frustrated by the same thing.
