Are traits passed down to kids only from genetics or do your lifestyle choices affect your kids potential for conditions and stuff?

The title probably isn’t worded the best, ive always struggled with science so all the genetics stuff kinda confuses me. But anyway, so like for example if you get lung cancer from smoking, or if you have a vitamin deficiency because of poor diet, is your child more prone to these things genetically by virtue of being your child? Taking nurture out of the equation, im just curious if a person would be naturally more prone to a certain condition if their parent has it solely because of lifestyle choices rather than genetics.
