Left my blue Wildcraft backpack on a train at Ernakulam Junction (ERS). Completely broken and traumatized right now
Hey guys,
I’m typing this out in a state of absolute shock and mental trauma. I lost my entire backpack at Ernakulam Junction (South) today, and honestly, the way the authorities are handling it is making me feel so much worse.
What happened was, I accidentally boarded the wrong train. Realizing my mistake, I quickly stepped out onto the platform to call my dad and figure out what to do. The call lasted barely two minutes. But in that brief panic, I forgot my bag on the luggage rack inside the compartment. I ran back in exactly two minutes, but it was already gone. Someone took it.
It’s a blue Wildcraft backpack. Inside, it had my original Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, and all my physical ATM cards. I’ve blocked the cards through the apps already, so the money is safe, but that’s not the point. When I went to the Railway Police, they were so dismissive. They told me there are no CCTV cameras covering that spot. They didn’t even give me a report, they just told me to come back after 3 days to get a Lost Property Record.
They literally told me, "the cards can be replaced anyway, so why worry?"It hurts so bad to hear that. They don't understand the trauma of losing your things, your certificates, and your identity in a split second.
It feels so invasive.Has anyone gone through this at Ernakulam? Is there any chance the thief might just take the wallet/cash and dump the blue Wildcraft bag somewhere near the tracks or station bins? Who should I even talk to—the cleaning staff, station master, or vendors? If anyone spots a blue Wildcraft bag abandoned anywhere around Ernakulam South, please, please let me know. I am desperate. Thanks.
