Help me choose between two Intel i5 (16GB RAM) laptops under ₹60k or $650 USD for heavy office multitasking (India)

Laptop Request -Others

Hey everyone,

I am looking to buy a dependable laptop in India with a budget of ₹60,000 INR. I have narrowed my choices down to two specific models that I found at a local store (Reliance Digital), but I'm torn on which direction to go.

My Usage & Requirements:

Primary Work: Heavy business operations, project coordination, and workflow management.

Apps/Tools: Running multiple heavy Notion workspaces simultaneously, managing massive Google Drive folder hierarchies, constant communication apps, and heavy browser multitasking (frequently keeping 20+ tabs open all day).

Daily Tasks: Writing up templates, data entry, and tracking production pipelines. No gaming or video editing, but I need a machine that won't lag or freeze when jumping between tabs.

Important Context: I am purchasing a 5- year extended warranty for an extra ₹3,700 on whichever machine I pick, so long-term hardware failures are covered by the plan.

Here are the exact specs of the two options available to me:

Option 1: Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (15IRH10)

Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H (2.10 GHz base)

RAM: 16GB LPDDR5 (Speed: 4800 MT/s)

Storage: 512GB NVMe SSD

Display: 15.6" FHD

Option 2: Dell 15 (DC15250)

Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1334U

RAM: 16GB DDR4

Storage: 512GB NVMe SSD

Display: 15.6" FHD WVA, 120Hz, Anti-Glare.

My Dilemma:

The Lenovo feels a bit more premium in hand and clearly has the faster processor ("H" series vs Dell's "U" series) and faster generation RAM (DDR5 vs Dell's older DDR4). However, my local laptop technician warned me that he sees a lot of Lenovo laptops coming in for repairs, whereas Dell has a huge reputation for reliability and longevity as a classic workhorse line.

Given my heavy browser/Notion multitasking usage, and the fact that the 5-year extended warranty largely protects me from repair costs out of pocket, should I prioritize the significantly better performance specs of the Lenovo, or stick with the trusted reliability of the Dell?

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you have experience with either of these laptops/laptop brands! Thanks!
