I (36F) was talking to a man (42M) for about five weeks after we met online.
We spoke every day for hours, had one video call, and built what felt like a genuine connection.
Two days after we'd had our most vulnerable conversation yet, he ended things, saying the relationship felt "too fantastical," he wanted to focus on building his life where he lives, and the long distance (different continents) felt too difficult. He blocked my WhatsApp immediately afterwards.
Later that day, I reached out from another number to apologise for crossing the boundary of the block, wish him well, and tell him the connection had been real for me. I also sent him a screen recording of my journal that I had taken a week before when things were okay. In the recording I was talking of his character which I found really appealing etc.
He replied kindly, apologised for blocking me, called himself "a coward," said he felt "shitty," It was kind of extreme, off the back of us getting closer."
We wished each other well and left it there.
Two days later, I noticed he'd unblocked my original WhatsApp number, despite there being no further contact
Things ended so suddenly, I never saw it coming. I’m thinking of reaching out to ask what happened?
