How would you best POSTIVELY describe the essense of Malta in one sentence?

I live abroad, and I dread the question, whenever I know I'm going to meet new people. It's always the same spiel.

"Oh I haven't met anyone from there before. So what is it really like?"

I also don't want to give the primary school answer because I find it highly inaccurate and reductionist, capturing close to none of what Maltese identity is.

I'm interested in your takes? How would you describe Malta in one sentence? And please be positive.
