Building new gaming PC

Build Ready?

Hello,

I've been using a GeForce GTX 1080Ti for about 9 years now and am looking to fully upgrade my gaming rig, as lately I've been noticing some FPS struggles with new game releases.

I use a 1440p - 144Hz monitor.

My knowledge of computer components is beginner-level, so have been relying on AI among other forum posts to grasp what kind of components I'm needing to get that top-tier gaming experience to last me for another 10 years (hopefully).

Budget: < $6,000 CAD

So far, these are the components:

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16GB)

Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WIFI Motherboard

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz 8-Core Processor

Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO

CORSAIR RMe Series RM1000e Fully Modular Low-Noise ATX Power Supply

CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) Up to 6000MHz CL30

WD Black 4TB SN850X NVMe Internal Gaming SSD

Fractal Design Torrent case (initial option)

I would appreciate any knowledgeable people to review this for me to ensure I'm not completely lost in these selections. Perhaps any changes you would recommend to make the build more efficient in either value or performance. It's possible a component or two in this build is a little overkill.

Primarily will be using this for heavy gaming sessions.

I'm wanting to play games like Crimson Desert, Cyberpunk, Black Myth: Wukong on Ultra settings consistently > 60 fps. I enjoy the effects of ray tracing, but I don't think I enjoy it enough to spend on a 5080, or god forbid a 5090. I could possible find room in the budget for a 5080 if other component alternatives are explored to lower the overall cost of the build so it balances out.

Thank you so much!
