Staff skin yap

So, I understand staff are given these skins as payment, however i have multiple gripes. Before you get angry or defense, please read my posts.

1. The amount
In total, staff have 5 skins, which in retrospect youd think "oh! one for each animal!" when in reality, its 2 saber, 2 wolf, and one mammoth. Why the uneven number, rather than one for each?

2. Misleading
These skins were highly wanted by the community, and on a poll, they even had people vote for piebald wolf or not. When they obviously voted yes, they instead turned it around and gave it solely to staff.

3. Why skins?
Although unique skins can make you more visible, something like a unique animal would be better in my opinion, something that we wouldn't miss out on for the most part. Alternatively, if they aren't being paid in skins, why not tracks + the animal?? They could easily give out monthly track payments to their mods. "Tracks are just like any other thing others can get!!" why does your reward for a position you volunteered for, need to be super special? A monthly payment of tracks would allow you to get things you wanted faster than the average player because you wouldn't have to work for it, and for those who buy tracks, you get the same amount or more for FREE! You could also amass a large amount of tracks over time to be super rich and have more than enough to not have to ever grind again.

4. Spite
Im not outright accusing anyone, but it really feels like they make the most wanted skins staff only out of spite. For example, Piebald wolf, alongside leucistic saber. See, Charcoal melanistic is unique enough that you would know its a mod if you knew about the skin, while still not being insanely different and one of a kind. however, leucistic is. Not only are there no other white skins, but we have a leucistic gp for EVERY other playable BUT saber (the most popular playable), not including horse cause it cant be leucistic, but we have something close. Additionally, I believe if the goal is to be visible, then something like midnight mammoth and charcoal melanistic don't really fit that goal, as charcoal from a distance can easily be mistaken as the ebony melanistic. And with midnight mammoth, when you're paying attention you might realize its staff, but from a distance, or in the trees/a shadowed area, it might be easy to mistake it for the dark brown skin because you're not paying attention. See, erythrystic wolf does make sense in this regard, because its quite odd looking and an attention grabber. Piebald only makes sense when you know about the skin, if you were a new player or someone who doesn't play super actively, you could easily mistake it as a new skin or something, because piebald is something most ppl think of as a mutation, as well as the colors looking similar to base skins. This also goes for leucistic saber, because as stated before, every animal has a leucistic gamepass aside from horse, so someone who doesn't know about mod skins would obviously assume its not a mod skin. I hope what im saying is understandable here lol.

But for the most part, the excuse of staff skins being like this to be "visible" so people can go to them, doesn't really work because of the logic. Something like a playable animal (such as a bird, which would allow them to fly and traverse safely, to yk, do their mod job) would make much more sense. Additionally, if a mod is assisting a player, most of the interaction is going to be through chat. Such as getting someone unstuck, its literally just teleporting them to you. If this is the case, why do they need to be obvious?

When I said I wanted leucistic saber cause its pretty, mods said "well it would put you at a survival disatvantage anyways cause you would be too visible." but then why is it okay for you to be put at a survival disatvantage? Addittionally, being leucistic doesn't necessarily mean the saber can't sneak, ive seen plenty of very contrasting sabers vs their environment successfully sneak up on prey, as well as with wolves. While some skins do blend in better, leucistic wouldn't be at so bad a disatvantage that it couldn't sneak at all.

5. Treatment of Members
Staff have stated to me that they will literally write people down and block them from becoming mod if they state they want to become mod for the skins. First off, of COURSE people want the skins? Its not like they didn't either until they became mods. Additionally, why does wanting the reward immediately cancel out the work they would be doing? How do you know they don't want to also be a mod for the work too? Two things can be true at once. (I'll admit I believe i was victim of this, as when I applied for mod apps in which i met all requirements, I was declined in THREE minutes. i believe this is because ive expressed wanting the skins and complained about them, as well as possibly because certain mods don't like me)

And along with the spite theory, this would explain the odd numbers of skins. Bison is a very underrated playable and thus no skin for it, because theres nothing the playerbase wants for it, because again, its a very underrated playable.

Anyways, overall, I think how they handled both payment of their staff + the payment itself was poorly thought out, and possibly out of malicious means. Feel free to debate and talk amongst yourselves but don't get aggressive.
