arachnophobia mode?

My friend has severe arachnophobia and asked me to write a mod for this game to remove spiders. I am in the process of moving and work full time, and have no experience making mods (though I work in SWE which is why he asked), so I would really rather not add this to my schedule right now. I don't own the game and he has not opened it yet, so we don't know - is there an arachnophobia mode in the game or do any mods for it exist? or should I just try to set aside the time for him?
