Elgar's cello concerto is a rare gem

I am deeply moved by this work. I love the lush melody lines, the energetic 2nd movement and also the more introspective parts. Feels like one of those works that has it all. It also scratched my Rachmaninoff itch, some parts reminded me of his sonata for cello and piano.

What do you guys like about it?

Have a great day!
