Toddler bed

Hi everyone. My daughter has been “potty trained” for a couple of months now. She is 22 months so that doesn’t mean a lot: still have accidents unless I keep track of her wees, but overall really good!
I am just very eager to stop using nappies at night time completely. She naps without nappy quite often, and I think she’s ready. What I was wondering is if I should then also transition her to a toddler bed (taking the side of her cot off) so that she can use the potty when she wakes up? Has anyone successfully taken nappies off at night while still in a cot otherwise?
