Why don't we take care of or acknowledge new moms and what they did more?
I don't have kids or friends that have kids yet, so maybe I'm wrong and you guys can tell me I'm an idiot. But I feel like in shows where a baby is born 100% of the attention goes to the baby immediately, and the mom is sidelined.
Like didn't she go through the most painful thing a human being endures on a regular basis?
I once saw some woman say that she should get presents on her kid's birthday too, and everyone dunked on her in the comments calling her a narc and an idiot.
Like I know Mother's Day exists, obviously, but so does Children's Day some other countries, so the argument that the birthday can't have anything to do with the mom because there's a Mother's Day doesn't hold water.
I'm not even saying that the birthday shouldn't be like 85% about the kid that was born, obviously that was a huge event. But I feel like some credit or acknowledgement should go to the woman to was pregnant for most of a year and labored for potentially dozens of hours and felt possibly like she was dying and/or being torn apart.
