Not Enough
It wasn’t stated explicitly in the Bible like this, so take this inference for the opinion of mine that it’s worth (🪙), but I wonder if part of the first deception from the adversary in Garden was the implication, “you are not enough.”
Ever heard that in your own mind? The “you’re not enough?” Maybe not smart enough. Maybe not tall, short, big, small enough. Maybe not rich enough. Maybe not white or black enough.
Not. Enough.
So we go much of our lives searching how to fix this problem. How to become … just…enough.
The problem is in the thinking. I love what God said in the Garden: “Who told you that you were…” …can we imagine it for this conversation to be “not enough.”
Because according to my Bible, God Himself is the Creator, and according to my Bible, He now lives in me, and according to my copy of His Word, He tells me, even if there’s a ‘thorn’ it has a greater purpose, and it doesn’t stop the flow of His grace into or out of my life.
So not enough? I beg to differ. I was enough for HIM the day He said “come”.❤️
