Is it just me or are most of Chord Progressions detractors short-sighted?

I've seen quite a few people trashing on it because of poor writing on Chester's route while disregarding the fact that he isn't the only romance option and later down the line, we'll be getting routes for Pat, Trent, Dave and Cliff.

Heck, there are some side stories from the FVN like April's which were honestly emotional and touching. It just seems like people zero in on Chester's route and trash on it just for that.
