Standard booking rate dropped £50 overnight - could I change my dates and back again to benefit?

I booked 5 nights at a Premier Inn last night on the 'Standard' rate only to find out this morning the rate has actually dropped £50 for the same 5 nights

As I can modify the arrival date of my stay...but not cancel the booking...if I amended the arrival date to a day later then straight back again would I be able to benefit from the lower rate or does it not work like that?

Appreciate I could have booked 'Semi-Flex' or 'Flex' but they were quite significantly more expensive too!
