Simple, Easy, Secure, whatever
Something new for the day (well... not new for everyone 🙂).
One way to keep information secure between people who are far apart is to lock it and share a key. That works—but if the method used to share the key is ever compromised, every secret protected by that key is at risk.
--- Now imagine doing it differently---
Instead of sharing keys, we share locks. You give me your padlock, but you keep the key. Whenever I want to send you something, I lock it with your padlock. Since only you have the key, only you can open it and see what's inside.
So, instead of sharing secret keys, we share public padlocks. That's the basic idea behind asymmetric encryption.
Go dig. 🙂 Have a wonderful... whatever today brings!
