How is TH mittelhessen friedberg (hessen)?...
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to pursue an MSc in Data Science/Business Informatics at TH Mittelhessen (THM), Friedberg campus, as the curriculum really matches my interests. However, I couldn't find many YouTube videos or Reddit posts from students there, so I'd really appreciate some insights. my_qualifications: B E in electronics+1.9yrs of experience as analyst My questions are:
- How is the overall university atmosphere at THM Friedberg?
- How are the professors? Are they supportive?
- The module handbook mentions many practical/project-based assessments. Is that accurate, or are there written exams as well?
- How is Friedberg for finding Werkstudent jobs in data analytics, data engineering, or related IT fields?
- I hardly find any jobs in Friedberg itself, but many in Frankfurt. Is it common for students to commute to Frankfurt for Werkstudent jobs? If yes, how difficult is it to get one?
- How easy is it to find odd jobs (warehouse, delivery, supermarket, etc.) in Friedberg or nearby if I don't get a Werkstudent job initially?
- How is the job market for international students in Friedberg and Frankfurt, assuming I'm at A2–B1 German?
- How do visa extension requirements work in Hesse? I've heard different experiences from students in different states. For example, a friend in Berlin was able to extend his residence permit by showing around €8,000 in savings along with three months of payslips, while friends in Fulda and Rhein-Waal had to show the full blocked account amount even though they had €7,000–8,000 in savings plus income from part-time jobs. How is it generally handled in Hesse?
I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thanks!
