New app works even worse than before on Windows

It's always had issues on Win, but now they've not only added a chat that opens in small popups with a recent list that has no sorting for pinned or project chats, but the performance also feels even worse. I had to restart the app twice, and both times, after pasting a block of code, the app bugged out with an infinite scroll-jitter.
The performance is much worse than before, too.
I've always preferred codex over claude's app, but with this? Dunno 😕
