Hate farming expedition

I seriously hate farming expeditions! How can some of these mods be a thing? I just got a rare that was empowered, hasted, birthed minions, damage taken from minion first, the minions were empowered, do damage, do damage, do damage, the minions dies the rare goes to full hp and energy shield, take the minions away, one dies, the other recovers full hp, then births another one. try to kill the rare away from the minions, map is small enough that I eventually get the minion aggro on me again, what the actual fk! neverending loop, how am I supposed to kill it?
