“Your total is $17.64 is that card or cash?”

The young lady at the counter said to me as I thought to myself…”that was only 4 cookies though”… I pulled my wallet out and there sat 2 - $20 bills. I pulled one 20 out and handed it to her and she gave me $2.36 back. “Thank yew for trying cr\*mbl enjoy!” I sat in the car and opened it to see 2 chocolate chip cookies, a snickerdoodle and a red velvet cookie. I get home and show my wife the cookies i bought and she said “ummph I know that was every bit of $15” and I said “a little more than that” don’t get me wrong the cookies were good but I couldn’t bring myself to do it anymore. I ate one chocolate chip cookie and couldn’t eat anything else. The next day I tried the snickerdoodle cookie and it was good, could’ve done without the icing on it but it was good. Then it hit me: I could make this at home

I searched far and wide, countless hours on Reddit, YouTube, going to shops that open at 7 am and showing up at 6:23 am to have them fresh out the oven looking in the back to see them mix up the….real quick, can I ask you something? You ever made a cookie dough so thick that your hand mixer slowed down? 🥹 I did. I’m sure the mixer will be fine, it has to be. Then you plug the mixer back in and set it to 1, 2, 3…5 and it doesn’t move. It’s gone. So much butter sacrificed, so much flour slung around but I have my perfect creation.

You break the cookie in half and there’s a slight snap, the top of the cookie has a slight “flakey ripple” to it. The center has a cake texture to almost ask “did you use cake flour?” In version 11 it did, then I removed it by version 14.

cr*mbl turned me into a snickerdoodle making monster…
