Help with kratom withdrawal
First of all, finally!! They are banning 7-oh at the end of the month. I’m so happy I’ll be able to kick and not have to fight the thought that it’s “just down the street”. This will be my 4th time. And I’m ready! It’ll suck, and the next few months will be rough, but time heals all.
I went 3 days 2 weeks ago. I couldn’t function. I needed my strength for some family stuff that happened and couldn’t get through it while withdrawaling so I cracked. However, it was the easiest of the 3 times. No diarrhea. I slept, albeit only in 20-30 minute spurts before having to fidget around. The physical symptoms were at a 4/10-5/10 compared to previous 9/10-10/10 with previous quits. The worst part was extreme fatigue, anhedonia, and cravings.
The key was an off-label 8 day prescription of 100mg Tramadol ER. I read through about 8 double-blind clinical studies that showed tramadol being superior to clonidine and COMPARABLE to suboxone without the “post-taper” withdrawals associated with suboxone tapers. I did not make it to the post taper period so I can’t speak to withdrawals after the taper and wether they are present or not. I’ll find out at the end of the month I suppose. Again, I cracked because me and my wife decided I needed to be able to get through what happened with more strength than I had while in withdrawal. It should not be an indictment on tramadol’s efficacy. It DOES help tremendously.
I was prescribed 300mg/day tramadol ER for 2 days, 200mg/day for 3 days, 100mg/day for 3 days. Took the study that I will link below to my doctor and she was on board. I’ve been honest with her about 7-oh for the past year.
If anyone is about to go through this with me, please read this study and take it to your doctor. It is the closest thing to suboxone I have personally experienced. It will help tremendously and you won’t have to take suboxone everyday for the rest of your life. You will still withdrawal, you will still feel the depression, but it will be manageable. Suboxone takes away withdrawal 100% but you will become addicted to that or you will withdrawal the same when you try to get off it. Tramadol will help you just push through and when the 3-4 days of acutes are over, they’re over.
Good luck 🍀 This is a blessing guys. Let’s start finally healing. Nothing but love
