Anyone else let down?

Was anyone else let down that you cant complete the platinum until after you finish the story? I completed the platinum for GoW2018 by spreading the ashes and finishing the story for a scenic platinum screenshot. Not being able to do the same for GoWR feels anticlimactic and lackluster.
