I asked for a visual mock up of a flowerbed and it took the flower bed boundary all the way to the end of the lawn, which I didn’t even consider, but when I saw it mocked up, I really liked how it gave the front entrance a layered look. I sit on my porch often so I’m thinking it would be nice to feel immersed by nature if plants were there. I have plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies on the side of my house but I can’t really enjoy the visits . but then I had a contractor come over for something else and he asked me what I’m doing there and so I explained that I’m going to bring the flower bed all the way out and he said that it wasn’t a good idea because it makes you have to use the walk way instead of having the flexibility to cut the lawn which I get but not the strongest argument. I also used the lawn to put down a blanket and have snacks with my toddler so I don’t want to touch the remainder of the grass. This is \_my\_ project since it’s an area that I tend to occupy most so it will be for my enjoyment but my husband is already dooming me with doubt so I just want to ask this group here their thoughts, maybe something we haven’t considered yet. Thanks! The last pic is a POV of the patch from my dining area.

End flowerbed at wall or bring it all the way out?
