The trees?

They come to town by coming on a tree in the middle of the road. We simply have to accept coming on the tree is the beginning of everything. So on season 4 episode whatever the people pull down a tree and come in a hole? I keep seeing trees and can't help but wonder what the fuck do these trees mean? Might they be the key to set everyone free? Knowledge comes at Acosta maybe? I don't know it's driving me a little crazy trying to place these trees. Fatima smokes trees? See what I mean there are trees everywhere. And Fatima turned monster like an infectious zombie disease. These trees must be the key to everything we are seeing. MiY keeps eating ass with those brown teeth but he can shapeshift into Sofia which really freaks the fuck outta me.

Anyway thoughts about coming on trees?
