Do you follow up with clients after finishing a project?
I’ve noticed this problem in my own freelance work.
I finish the project, send everything to the client, they say thank you, and then I move on to the next project. After a while, I realize I forgot to message them again.
I probably missed some testimonials, referrals, feedback, and maybe even more work because of that. Not because the client was unhappy, but simply because I disappeared after delivering the work.
I’m trying to create a better process for myself, with a reminder to check in a few days after delivery, ask for feedback later, and then keep the relationship open for future work.
How do you handle this? Do you have a proper follow-up system after delivering a project, or do you also mostly rely on remembering manually?
