Could it be..an accommodation question?!
I’ve worked for Amazon for two years now. My site is an IXD I think, SWF2 if anyone is familiar. I’ve been trained in a couple departments like decant(gone now ), mansort, and of course in bound but seem to have stuck with inbound, specifically in the trucks unloading. Now I’m not particularly good in trucks because I’m slow and need lots of breaks but since summer began I have gotten heat sickness every single day. Occasionally I’ll throw on a line instead but mostly I’m in the trucks and I find I’m sick either way. After speaking with doc I found out my necessary meds cause heat sensitivity and that “I shouldn’t be working in these conditions” but I need this job. Is there an accommodation that can help?
I’m also just curious what kind of accommodations Amazon offers to people and some unique ways challenges have been overcome within the company. Please be kind and thank you in advance
