[M22] Young man not very good with social interactions. Is that a dealbreaker overall?

Age 22-25

Hey everyone,

I’ll be honest from the start: I’m not very good with social interactions. I’m pretty clumsy, sometimes awkward, and I overthink everything. I’ve never had a girlfriend in my life, even though I’m a polite, bilingual guy who hits the gym almost every day. I’m not saying I’m a catch, but I don’t think I’m ugly either (even if I often think so) I just genuinely struggle with the whole “talking to people” part.

Not long ago, one of my former teachers (a woman around 40) told me I look like the main guy from High School Musical and she was genuinely surprised I’ve never had a girlfriend. That stuck with me. I’ve never even watched the movie (it wasn’t really on TV in France when I was younger), so now I’m curious.

I know being a guy posting this online probably won’t get much kindness or attention, but I still wanted to put it out there. Is this kind of social clumsiness usually a dealbreaker? Especially for women I’d really appreciate honest thoughts.

Thanks for reading.
