Writing Platforms

I'm starting to write a fantasy book that I want to later make into a graphic novel (or maybe even an animation if i become skilled enough 🥹) . However, I have no idea where to start actually writing it.
Word doesn't work well for me and I wanted to see if there were any alternatives. So if anyone has any recommendations, I would be incredible grateful. !!
