New player: What is the best way to spend Pokécoins besides storage?

Hi everyone!

​I’m relatively new to Pokémon GO, and I’ve already taken the advice to prioritize upgrading my Pokémon and item storage, so I’ve got that covered.

​Now that I have a bit more freedom with my Pokécoins, I’m wondering what else is actually worth spending them on to progress efficiently. Specifically, I’m curious about Remote Raid Passes: are they still considered a good investment for a beginner, or should I be looking at specific event boxes in the shop instead?

​I want to make sure I don't waste my resources on "trap" items. I'd love to hear your recommendations on what offers the best value for a newer player.
