Got an internship I shouldn’t have even applied for
I’m soon a third year (final year) student in my bachelors and have been looking for an internship for quite some time (I have zero work experience). Saw an internship listing of something very interesting, applied for it, got an interview, realised it was only for masters students, told the HR person, decided to go through with the interview, interview went really well and the next day I got the internship from the interviewer who tagged along since she was curious (it wasn’t her listing). So i got a position very similar to the listing even though there wasn’t an official listing nor a masters student with ZERO experience.
Im genuinely so happy and it’s a very interesting role in investment management for green companies across the globe. The only reason why I got it was because the interviewer who hired me could see herself in me and because of my cover letter.
I’m not saying you should apply for internships when it says only for masters students but it’s crazy to think that one mistake allowed me to get this internship.
