Messy return situation

So I bought a PS Vita on eBay, and when I received it, it looked nothing like the photos. There was burn in around all the edges, really scuffed up and the joysticks were very worn. Naturally I did a return, and eBay prompted me to drop it off at FedEx.

I dropped it off at my nearest store which was an hour drive. Thank God I grabbed a receipt from them, because when I checked eBay, it shows I still haven’t taken the package in for return. Check FedEx, and it says label created and waiting for package.

I attempted to call both FedEx and eBay, only to be met with some of the worst AI automated systems I’ve ever encountered with absolutely no way to speak to a human. I plan on driving back to FedEx after work again, but if they lost my return package am I just cooked?
