The movie has been living rent free in my head

I watched Obsession with my brothers a few days ago, and it completely got under my skin.

I couldn’t stop thinking about Nikki. The way the film uses darkness to hide her, forcing my brain to fill in the blanks. The more I thought about it, the more I appreciated the ending and all the little visual choices that completely passed me by on my first watch.

I don’t usually write about films (I’m mostly a football writer), but this one stayed with me long enough that I ended up writing an essay about why it worked so well for me.
