I (25F) need advice on how to deal with my partner's (23NB/MTF) dysphoria

Need Advice

I met someone on Reddit and we hit it off right away. We’ve been talking for a few months now and have already expressed an interest in starting a relationship, but there’s one hurdle… they haven’t started hormone therapy yet and don’t feel comfortable showing their face or letting me hear their voice.

Once, they accidentally let their voice slip in a short video, and I already know what it sounds like, but I feel like they think I’ll lose interest in them (I’m a lesbian). They’ve already mentioned this fear and insecurity, but no matter what I say, it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Even though they’re non-binary, they feel more comfortable being feminine and are much more interested in “girl things” than I am. They’re gradually identifying as a trans woman, and I fully support them. And to me, even without all those feminine things, I just see them as the delicate, sweet princess that they are.

I want to be in a relationship with them, but I also can’t start one without first seeing their face or hearing their voice, because this is the only way I can feel it’s real and not just an online thing without real commitment and intentions to close the gap eventually. I don't want to pressure anyone either, I know that gender dysphoria is complicated. But I already love them for who they are, and honestly, I don't care. I have my own insecurities, too, but for us, I'm willing to overcome them.

How can I handle this situation without coming across as insensitive?
