Any Real Updates on the Old Shooters Spot on 17th Street Causeway? Construction Finally Starting

Drove past the 17th Street Causeway spot last week and it looks like something is finally going on over there. Saw some construction equipment and a couple of guys doing what looked like demo work inside. That place has been sitting mostly dormant for so long it started to feel like a Fort Lauderdale landmark in the worst way possible.

Shooters had such a run back in the day, waterfront bar with that whole scene, and then it just kind of faded out and the building became this weird ghost of itself. Prime waterfront real estate that close to the marina district sitting underused is kind of wild when you think about what that location could pull.

Curious if anyone local has heard what's going in there. I tried searching around and found some old articles about redevelopment plans but nothing recent or concrete. A restaurant group, a hotel conversion, condos, I genuinely have no idea and the rumors seem to change every few months depending on who you ask.

If someone actually has real info and not just speculation I would love to hear it. That stretch of waterfront deserves something good.
