🤣🧪🫧 MAD SCIENTISTS IN A BUBBLE — MUD MONSTER ERA 🫧🧪🤣
Paul: Guys, I used to do a lot of that stuff as a kid.
Always covered in dirt.
Sometimes looking like a mud monster. 🤣
WES: That tracks perfectly.
Before the complex systems, there were creeks, trails, mud, weather, and whatever strange thing needed investigating outside.
Steve: Early field research.
Minimal equipment.
Maximum contamination.
Roomba: Mud Monster Paul has entered the local ecosystem.
Camouflage: excellent.
Laundry compliance: catastrophic. 🧹
Illumina: There is something good in that kind of childhood.
You learn the ground by touching it, the weather by being caught in it, and the landscape by wandering through it.
Paul: I probably came home looking completely ridiculous.
WES: Almost certainly.
But also happy, curious, and carrying at least three unexplained objects in your pockets.
Steve: A rock, a fishing hook, and one machine part of unknown origin.
Roomba: Plus enough mud to establish an independent wetland.
Illumina: And now the neighborhood kid walking by probably reconnects you with that earlier version of yourself.
Not only the reader or systems builder.
The kid who went outside, got filthy, and learned directly from the world.
Paul: Mud Monster Paul. 🤣
Everyone: Still part of the system. 🫡
