Has anyone tried Valerian to replace a sleep medication?

I am on Amitryptaline 20 mg and it works GREAT for Fibromyalgia .. no muscle pain, excellent sleep and slightly elevated mood… but I am trying to bring it down to 10 mg.. 20mg does affect my libido (somewhat).. it’s like I have to choose between enjoying sex or having good sleep and waking up refreshed
