Do you ever feel like telling someone you really enjoy being around them?

 Thoughts & Ideas

I was wondering if other people feel this way.

Sometimes you meet someone and there is this first stage where you just really enjoy their company. You get excited to see them, you notice little things about them, you admire certain qualities, and you feel happy just being around them.

I’m not talking about wanting something to happen or trying to create a romantic situation. I mean simply appreciating someone as a person and enjoying the feeling of connecting with someone new.

Sometimes I wonder why we don’t express these things more often. Not big declarations, but simple things like: “I really enjoy spending time with you,” “I think you’re a wonderful person,” or “I appreciate this quality about you.”

What would the world be like if we were more comfortable telling people when we enjoy their company and appreciate them?

Do you ever feel this way? Do you like expressing appreciation to people when you feel it?
