Now that 1.0 is out, Here are my first impressions.
So, despite the suggestions, i decided to continue my playthrough in my first world rather than starting a new one for 1.0. I've only beaten the first tower so i didn't miss that much tidbits; a minor setback and immersion breaking moment. With that being said, here are my first impressions after playing for quite a bit:
- This game truly is a product of its time and i don't mean it in a bad way. I know about this since the first time it was released, but man, actually playing it for the first time takes me back to those days when fortnite was still very young, people are still talking about breath of the wild and its clones, and all of that. Such a nostalgia trip.
- No offense, but how casual is this game? It feels oddly easy and im fairly certain i use the default settings. Usually, survival games like these have this exponential difficulty curve, even in normal. Then again, it might just be that i am just used to playing video games like this. Either way, im happy that i finally find a game where i can finally relax and stay for a long while because of how much content there is.
Overall, im having quite the blast. Im just hoping it won't be some grindy slog the more you're into the game.
