Student loan interest is the worst

At one point I owed 171K. I have it down to 95K but most of the progress was made during the pandemic pause.

Since then student loan interest has been oppressive. I have a 8 percent interest rate and pay 1900 a month.

Unfortunately even though I pay off 1300 in principal a month it feel like the amount of interest does not go down and the fact that it compounds daily is cruel
