Blackboard is failing me (Gen Chem II)

I hope this is an allowable post here.

I’m taking Gen Chem II at a local tech school and homework is assigned and submitted on Blackboard. The automated feedback for wrong answers is terribly unhelpful and increasingly frustrating. Specifically, the college was closed for 11 days (summer break), then the next day of class (Tuesday) was cancelled over a plumbing emergency that shut down the entire campus. I had a meeting scheduled with my instructor to go over what was marked wrong but lost that opportunity. Mondays & Wednesdays are full with Microbiology classes and other assignments. Then Thursday was the exam testing us on the homework that I kept getting wrong.

I don’t understand how I’m supposed to study for these tests. Tutoring? The college was closed during my availability. I lost a solid 12 days. The Blackboard generic automated responses just shut down my attempts to try to understand what I’m doing wrong (limited homework submission attempts).

Am I just having bad luck or does anyone else take issue with Blackboard?
