Confessing to my crush

I told a girl about the infatuation i had towards her that i liked her more than a friend. She was a pretty popular girl. Me who was expecting a "Oh I never felt that way", she said that i have a really good character, neat and clean, a mr perfect who's very calm and peaceful whom anyone could talk to destress even if i don't say anything to calm them down. She even said she never seen a guy like me, a guy like me is rare in this generation.

Look ik she doesn't like me romantically, but what position had she given me in her mind? There were some instances where some popular guys tried to flirt with her, she told me these instances in a disgust manner which she ewwed and added I'm nothing like them
