Administrative Support Role---can I get some career advice on it?

I am 24-years old. I graduated with my BBA with a concentration in Marketing from St. Joe's in Philly. I graduated in 2024 and after working in retail for the last two years, I finally landed a job with a non-profit in an admin. support role. Due to the current job market climate, is this job a stepping stone? Any advice for a New Jerseyian looking to branch into marketing within the NYC metro. area?
