Mag Glycinate is helping my tics but destroying my focus - need stack recommendations
Hi, 19M.
So its been a month since im trying:
- magnesium glycinate (500mg after dinner)
- probiotics
- vit D3 10,000 with 90mg k2
- omega 3 2100mg
- vit c 500mg with zinc
My Tourette's has always been pretty damn bad, and just after a month with these, my tics have reduced noticeably (probably about 20-30%). I just feel more relaxed, calm and collected in general. I have little stutters here and there and i've been speaking clearer too! This is the first time I've taken mag glycinate in my life.
However on the other hand I've also never been more lazy and unmotivated. Its genuinely been the hardest week of my life in terms of trying to get tasks done. the ADHD is going total rampant and I cant focus on a single thing. Now its true that I've been feeling healthier overall, but this lack of focus has been absolutely ruining it for me.
I'm also a huge advocate of the gut brain axis, and that's why i'm taking the probiotics. I've been underweight my entire life, find it hard to gain weight, and feel my gut absorption needs major work. Genuinely its all connected.
So right now I'm trying to fix this dreadful lack of focus and motivation, and my gut absorption as well. Has anyone experienced this drop in motivation from magnesium glycinate? (i don't even know if thats what's actually behind it). What can i add to this stack? Please share your stack recommendations or experiences if you've dealt with similar issues!
