Hatsu : Blade Shroud
I should point out that English is not my native language. I therefore used a translator
Nen Type: Enhancement with the use of Transmutation and Emission.
(Transmutation and Emission are adjacent to Enhancement in the Nen chart and can therefore be used at 80% efficiency each.)
The user transforms their aura to give it a cutting property. Their aura itself becomes sharp: it can cover their body or their sword, enhancing their close-range attacks. Through Emission, they can also project this aura at a distance, create areas of cutting aura connected to their sword by a Nen thread, or place dangerous areas that opponents cross at their own risk.
This aura does not simply create a blade: every part of the body that enters the area is affected by the cutting property, potentially causing a clean cut or countless microscopic piercing wounds depending on the user’s control.
The second part of the Hatsu, Cut Save, allows the user to store a cutting action in an object or a person through their sword. When an individual touches the marked target, the stored cut is triggered. The longer the preparation, the more powerful the stored cut becomes. Conversely, a quick storage allows the user to create small marks that can serve as a secret language between allies, using different light cuts to create a specific language or write messages directly on an ally’s body.
The restriction of Cut Save is that the storage can only be created through the user’s sword. Maintaining a stored cut consumes aura, and the amount of aura required depends on the power of the saved attack and the duration for which it remains active. However, there is no maximum power limit for a cut that can be stored on an object, as long as the user’s aura reserves are sufficient.
