Methadone to SR Jump at 40mg Methadone

Hi. I’ve been on methadone for 4 weeks. Im at 40 mg and haven’t gone higher than 55mg but only for a day or two (experienced side effects and tapered).

I don’t want to be on methadone. I was under a lot of pressure to quit MGM. This is what lead me to the ‘done.

I’m seeing people use SR successfully at over 100mg dose of methadone. People on the methadone sub are telling me it wouldn’t work and 40mg is much more than it seems.

Any advice? Oh, I also have Xanax, gabapentin, clonidine, a few subs to help the process.
