Julie Garwood hangover

Please I need more writers like Julie Garwood!

I'm almost done guardian angel, and before now I've read about 10 or 11 or so of her other historical romances and every time I'm sighing and giggling and blushing, I find her writing so enjoyable. She perfectly balances humor, good banter, danger/intrigue, and lust and romance.

I've been reading quite a lot of historical romance these last few months but no one has topped Julie Garwood for me yet.

If anyone has suggestions for other books or authors in general who have the same vibes please let me know :)

The biggest points for me are the witty banter, the instant attraction or forced proximity, and the intense MCs who do anything to keep their loves safe!

And on that same note, if you're a fan of Julie Garwood and have also read her modern books (think Killjoy, Hotshot, Fire and Ice, etc) please let me know if they hit the same as her historicals, I see them all the time in my thrift stores but I've been hesitant to try them for no good reason other than I'm stuck on historicals!
