I (20) am looking to start off here in Texas with no experience in a trade. Any advice?

I have done a little bit of college but honestly I just prefer working with my hands. In high school, I spent my summers working for a landscaper and now since then I work at bar. Truth be told I am tired of working dead-end jobs and wanna do something better for myself . I know there are apprenticeship programs available, but the application cycle for the Austin ETA is closed. I did apply to a larger commercial electrical contractor not sure if I will hear back though. Is there any other way to start with the a union or even other companies that would hire me despite my lack of experience. Looking for any guidance here, thanks y’all!
