Gelatin questions

So, as someone who wants to explore my freaky side a bit more, but in a safe way, I've got a lot of questions that I can't ask normal, well-adjusted people. Recently, I've wanted to experiment with oviposition toys and found one that I really like. It comes with is own egg models but I've got no fucking idea what to uses. I'd think gelatin would be best as I'd like something that's uhhh "body safe" as I'm worried about the whole "what if it goes in and doesn't come out for a while".
