Shocks or shocks with springs

Just bought a 23' SR5 and would like to lift it without getting into controller arms. I'm getting a 1" Eibach spring for the back and raising the Bilstein 5100's I bought up to 1.75" in the front. Im told that this is a rather stiff ride and takes away from what the shocks can handle because theyre already stretched out.

I hear Dobinson makes a 1.5" and a 2" spring I could use to lift the front and set the Blistein to 0 which is what im pushing for because im told its the least stiff option. What are the pros and cons of this? What do yall think? I just upgraded from a 15' Honda Civic LX and im stoked. I will be off road but not rock crawling and the most I'll be hauling is camping gear and maybe a U Haul one day. Thanks!
